Ark. Senate approves $2.6M for forestry agency

The Arkansas Senate has approved using $2.6 million from the state's surplus to keep the financially troubled Arkansas Forestry Commission operating and to repay federal money state official say the commission improperly used to prop up its budget.

All that surplus yet the state finds a way to shaft its work force every year! No merit raises, No cost of living? I bet the fat guys that make those decisions did not cut their own raises! There are some pretty important people that work for the state, if their work starts reflecting the way they are treated and compensated we are ALL in trouble!
