BATESVILLE, Ark. (AP) — A company that manufactures mowers and multi-terrain vehicles has announced a $7.4 million expansion of its headquarters in Batesville and plans to add 150 new jobs.

Gov. Mike Beebe was on hand as Bad Boy Mowers officials broke ground at the site on Wednesday.

Bad Boy Mowers manufactures 33 versions of zero-turn mowers, and makes six versions of multi-terrain vehicles. Bad Boy Mowers and MTVs are now manufactured, assembled and stored in multiple facilities comprising over 650,000 square feet in Batesville and Melbourne.

As a result of this expansion, 10 new multi-terrain vehicle models will be added. The products are specifically designed for agricultural, industrial, recreational or high-performance purposes.

Officials say the average wage for the new employees will be $18 per hour.
