LITTLE ROCK, AR- A lawsuit has been filed in Federal Court challenging Arkansas' recently passed abortion rule.
The new rule is set to go into effect in July, and would ban most abortions after the 12th week of pregnancy.
Documents were filed Thursday in Little Rock .
A hearing will be held on the morning of May 17th in front of Judge Susan Weber Wright.
The plaintiffs in the case are the American Civil Liberties Union and the Reproductive Rights Center.
They say the new rules are unconstitutional and are asking that the law not be allowed to go into effect.
