LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Legislation to keep elected officials' pay flat for the coming year and pay for 13 new judgeships around Arkansas is headed to the governor's desk.

By a 34-0 vote, the Senate gave final approval Wednesday to the General Appropriation bill. The measure sets funding for the executive, legislative and judicial branches and is now headed to Gov. Mike Beebe's desk.

The proposal keeps pay flat for constitutional officers, legislators, prosecutors and judges for the fiscal year that begins July 1. It also funds 13 new district judgeships that will be created in January.

Beebe's office said the governor plans to sign the bill into law.
