SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) — Some residents in western Arkansas can blame a power outage on a bunch of birds.

Peter Main with Southwestern Electric Power Co. told KFSM-TV a flock of birds flew into equipment at a station in Springdale Thursday afternoon, causing power disruption to 2,600 customers.

The company's website showed electricity had been restored to all customers by Thursday night.
