LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Gov. Mike Beebe is to proclaim November as Arkansas Soybean Month.

Beebe is to make the proclamation Thursday at the state Capitol.

The Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board says the state ranks tenth in the nation in soybean production with an average of 122 million bushels per year.

The board says soybeans rank third in the state behind broiler chickens and rise as the state's top agricultural commodities.
