A home invasion woke a Benton couple this morning to a frightening ordeal.
It happened just a few minutes after midnight inside a home located on Interstate 30 in Benton.
Deputies with the Saline County Sheriff's Office say the victims told them a black man confronted them and demanded items and money before also taking their car and driving away.
The vehicle is a white 2004 Ford Mustang convertible with tan top and Arkansas license plate 416 RAM.
Information was obtained about a potential suspect identified as Derek Dione Wilkerson, 41, of Mesquite, Texas. He was positively identified by the couple from a photo line-up, the sheriff's office said.
Wilkerson is believed to be in Texas, where a search for him is underway after an arrest warrant was issued.
Texas law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Marshal's Service have been notified and are looking for him.
Wilkerson faces the following string of charges in the Benton incident:
Residential Burglary
Aggravated Assault
Terroristic Threatening
Kidnapping
Aggravated Robbery
False Imprisonment

Theft of Property
Deputies say Wilkerson also faces other charges.
