I hope this terrible law gets struck down. We are in the process of trying to sell our house and move because the district our kids are in is underperforming. However, because we are white and the neighboring district to which we wish to transfer is majority white, they can not transfer under the School Choice Act. It is nothing but reverse discrimination that is negatively impacting the education of children throughout the state.

If the role was reversed and there was a chance that black kids would be denied entry to a school, we would have a nationally recognized racial lawsuit on our hands.

You can't have it both ways either race is not a factor or it is. If you can't discriminate because they are black then the same applies to being white. This is clearly a discrimination at its worst and unconsititutional.
