LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A jury has been selected in the trial of a man charged in connection with an attack on an interracial couple's home in northern Arkansas.
Cherith Beck, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's office in Little Rock, said a jury had been selected Tuesday in Gary Dodson's case. Opening statements are expected to begin Wednesday.
Authorities say Dodson and three other men plotted to firebomb an interracial couple's home in Hardy and that some of the men threw Molotov cocktails at the home. The residence caught fire, but the couple wasn't injured.
Dodson is charged with conspiracy to deny civil rights, along with several other charges.
The three other men pleaded guilty in the case earlier this year.
Dodson's attorney, Steve Davis, didn't respond to a request for comment.
