LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Little Rock police are investigating the death of a toddler who was hospitalized in late November for a head injury.

Police say 19-month-old Matthew Jermaine McFadden died December 1st, three days after he was brought to Arkansas Children's Hospital by ambulance. The boy's mother's boyfriend, 26-year-old Alex Blueford, told officials he found the toddler unconscious and not breathing in the couple's apartment.

A roommate was also at the home at the time, but the mother, 20-year-old Kimberly Tolbert, was not.

An autopsy ruled the death a homicide.

No one has been arrested, but police say they have a suspect and are obtaining an arrest warrant.
