LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Work crews in Little Rock are working around the clock to clear snow, downed trees and other debris from city roads.

City spokeswoman Meg Matthews advised Thursday that Entergy Arkansas has its power substations running and that more than 1,000 utility workers are to be in Little Rock on Friday to start restoring power.

Entergy had more than 132,000 outages overall Thursday afternoon, with about 75,000 in Pulaski County. About 57,000 of those are in Little Rock.

State crews are treating highways across the state and workers in the capital city are salting various routes.

Garbage collection has resumed on streets the trucks can access.

Also, Arkansas Children's Hospital says its clinics are to reopen at 10 a.m. Friday.
