Man Accused of Killing Two in Fort Smith Machete Attack

Witnesses say suspect said something about 'Satan being within him' before he attacked the victims.
FORT SMITH, AR - Two men are dead after being attacked by another man armed with a machete.

Police say they have arrested Gregory Aaron Kinsey, 20, in the incident that happened around 10:00 Wednesday night on North D Street.

The victims have been identified as Nathan Young, 32, and Brandon Prince, 39.

A witness reportedly told police the victims were drinking beer on the front porch when Kinsey walked by the home carrying grocery bags. Kinsey, who the witness says was acting suspiciously, exchanged words with the men before they confronted him in an alley. That's when the witness says the suspect reached behind his back, produced a large machete and started attacking both victims. The suspect continued his assault until the witness was able to pick up a piece of wood from the yard and throw it at the suspect, who then ran away down the alley.

Witnesses told police Kinsey said something about 'Satan being within him' before he attacked the men.

Kinsey and the machete believed to be used in the attack were found at his mother's home on South 17th street, according to police.

Kinsey is being held at the Sebastian County Detention Center on two counts of capital murder.
