BISMARCK, AR - A storm destroyed a home near Bismarck in Hot Spring County Monday. One man was thrown out of the shower and had to be taken to the hospital, but everyone inside (including the family dog) is expected to be ok.

The line of storms moved through the area around 4:30pm. Morgan Morrison says she saw the patio furniture swirling around outside and she yelled at everyone inside the house to get down.

About 150 community members, to include the family’s church and the High School football team, showed up to help pick up the family’s possessions, which were strewn all about the property.

The storm caused minor damage to nearby properties as well. The National Weather Service will survey the area Tuesday to determine if it was a tornado that hit the house.

Morrison added her family feels extremely blessed in the aftermath of the storm.

Glad to hear everyone is OK. Like the better half said, that must have been embarrassing to get thrown out of the shower!

Community taking care of their own, what a concept. I love it. Don't let FEMA hear about or they'll tell the unions and they'll be filing lawsuits.
