Man in Pink Handcuffs Escapes Deputies after Drug Arrest

Gates was placed under arrest in pink handcuffs and taken back to his house to retrieve more drugs, where deputies found heroin and additional drug paraphernalia.
LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR -- Two women are behind bars on drug charges, but one man was able to escape after being handcuffed.

According to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), deputies conducted undercover drug buys from 21-year-old Kelsey Hanshaw (pictured below, left), 27-year-old Stephanie Roberts (pictured below, right) and 20-year-old Carson Gates, all from Walnut Ridge.

LCSO says Hanshaw and Roberts were arrested on Friday without incident and taken to the Lawrence County Jail, where they were charged with delivery of meth, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and use of a communication device to commit a felony.

Gates was placed under arrest in pink handcuffs and taken back to his house to retrieve more drugs, where deputies found heroin and additional drug paraphernalia.

During the search, Gates broke away from the deputies, who chased after him but were unable to catch up to him, even though the suspect was still in the pink handcuffs, LCSO says.

Gates was wearing a black shirt and black pants along with pink handcuffs when he escaped from the deputies.

LCSO encourages anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office at 870-886-2525 or your local Police Department.
