A man has been convicted of capital murder by a Faulkner County jury.

Ronald Britton received a sentence of life in prison without parole today after being found guilty, according to Prosecutor Cody Hiland.

Britton will spend the rest of his life behind bars for the August 2010 killing of Michelle Asher.

Her body was found in the backyard of a home in Wooster. Authorities said she had suffered a stab wound to the throat.

Britton and Asher had been in a relationship at the time, sheriff's deputies said.
