LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Powerball Lottery's jackpot is back in near-record territory after climbing to 320-million for Saturday night's drawing.
The winning numbers in Wednesday night’s draw were 13 - 14 - 17 - 43 - 54, PB 15.
While the 260-million dollar grand prize slipped through the hands of players, there were two big winners of lesser amounts in Arkansas.
Both matched four white ball numbers plus the red Powerball number.
A player at Kum & Go, 3105 Stadium Drive, in Jonesboro is holding a $40,000 ticket, and someone who bought a Powerball ticket at Exxon Superstation #1 on Hervey in Hope holds a ticket worth $10,000.
The difference is that the Jonesboro player bought the $1 Power Play option, resulting in his or her $10,000 prize quadrupling to $40,000.
The identities of the Wednesday winners are not yet known. Lottery staff are awaiting their appearance at claim center (Little Rock, Springdale, Jonesboro, and Camden) to cash those winning tickets.
Arkansas lottery officials say Saturday will be a busy Powerball day, with the gargantuan jackpot. People are expected to crowd into retailer lottery locations all over the state to buy a chance at the big prize.
All players who bought Powerball tickets at the Jonesboro or Hope locations are urged to check their numbers against the winning numbers to see if their ticket is the lucky one.
