LITTLE ROCK, AR – A man who picked up a hitchhiker Saturday night in Little Rock was shot when he stopped at a store at the hitchhiker’s request.

According to the police report, Jimmy Griffis, 22, picked up a man on 25th street around 10pm Saturday. Griffis then drove to the Asher Food Mart at 4203 Asher Avenue. According to Griffis, the hitchhiker asked him to go in the store him. When they both got out of the car, the hitchhiker pulled a gun and tried to rob him. After a “brief argument,” the suspect shot Griffis.

Griffis was driven to UAMS by someone at the scene. Police say the gunshot wound went through his arm, into his chest, and out his back. The report says the wounds were non-life threatening.

That's good to hear Butch. You and Bill buddies? Cool. I was wondering how you were able to vote. Funny thing about me, I'll stop to help; but I'm more apt to stop for long hairs like me than anyone else. I trust hippies and bikers more than I do the white and blue collar types. Look at the pics on here; the tweekers, the thugs, the thieves, the pervs, the drunken, out of control G & F; the majority have short hair.

Judy it happened to Granny and I in Leslie on 65 last summer. No one stopped. Being a big corn husker looking man with shoulder length blond hair and ZZ top beard I didn't expect anything else. Those that even looked looked scared. It's the time. Too much violence. We as people have to figure out the best way to do that. We are working on a non profit to do just that. Yank it wasn't TX. They kicked me out sent me else where. I've been into it in more than one state. That's why I don't have a pardon from a Governor. I had to go to the main man. To many States.

This Story sounds like a bag full of it to me. I bet it was not as innocent as it sounds. Drug Deal Gone Bad.

Sad to think that someone trying to do a good deed gets shot from some punk ass thug. And people wonder why so many people are rude ass holes when it comes to picking up a stranded motorist or even stopping to help them.
