LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The University of Arkansas says the Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program of the National Park Service is setting up an office on the university's Fayetteville campus.

The university says the office for the community assistance arm of the National Park Service will be located alongside the Fay Jones School of Architecture in Vol Walker Hall in Fayetteville.

The university says the program supports community-led natural resource conservation and outdoor recreation projects.

The school says outdoor recreation planner Guy Headland will be responsible for projects in Arkansas, southern Missouri and southern Kansas. Headland's position is funded by the National Park Service.
