SPRINGDALE, Ark. -- Springdale Police arrested a man and woman accused of burglarizing their neighbor's home.

Detectives responded to a burglary call at home on Horseshoe Drive on Feb. 6, where the residents told police a Sony Playstation 3, an iPod, some clothing and a Remington 20 gauge shotgun were taken.

The day after the burglary, the victim reported seeing a neighbor, 28-year-oldTiffeny Pachl, wearing the stolen clothing. When the victim confronted Pachl, she returned the clothing and other items that were taken during the burglary.

Police then executed a search warrant on Pachl's home, and during a police interview, Pachl admitted to burglarizing the neighbor's home with help from her brother, 22-year-old Christopher Mendoza, but she denied taking the shotgun.

After being arrested on Tuesday on an unrelated warrant, Mendoza also admitted to burglarizing the home with his sister and taking the shotgun.

He told them his sister had taken the gun, wrapped it up in clothing and carried it to her home across the street.

Mendoza and Pachl were both charged with felony residential burglary and misdemeanor theft of property.

They are both currently in the Washington County Jail.
