Wednesday Storms Update: 46 Homes Damaged in Van Buren County

Five homes destroyed in Lincoln County.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Damage reports are coming in from at least six counties after Wednesday's severe weather outbreak.

Van Buren County was the hardest hit area. The county judge there says 46 homes were damaged.

A Fox 16 News crew was on the scene almost immediately after a tornado blew over the town of Botkinburg, north of Clinton. We showed you the first pictures from the scene as emergency responders were just arriving.

Damage is also reported along Highway 16 in Scotland and Walnut Grove, where at least one home was damaged. There are also reports of more damage along Highway 110.

The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management also reports five homes were destroyed in Lincoln County.

Other damage includes:
  • Van Buren County - Area Coordinator reported that there were six homes destroyed, 13 have major damage, 27 have minor damage, and 14 other homes were affected. Walnut Grove Fire Station received major damage. Foursquare Church was destroyed.
  • Lincoln County - two homes damaged besides the five that were destroyed.
  • Faulkner County - two apartments flooded in Mayflower
  • White County - two homes hit by lighting. The one in Pangburn was destroyed and the other one in Searcy had roof damage.
  • Garland County - two homes hit by trees and have major damage.
  • Conway County - one home in Morrilton had a tree fall on it.
