LITTLE ROCK, AR – George McDonald, who was named the Wide Receivers Coach back in December, has resigned from the Razorbacks coaching staff.
McDonald came to Arkansas from Miami, where he was the Wide Receivers Coach for the past two years. Bruce Feldman, with CBS Sports, reports that
McDonald is expected to be named the Offensive Coordinator at Syracuse.
After his resignation, Coach Bielema released the following statement:
“I have accepted George McDonald’s resignation from the Arkansas football team as he has decided to pursue other career opportunities. When you set out to assemble one of the top coaching staffs in the country, the group will consist of individuals who are highly respected and highly sought after. I have always tried to hire coaches who possess the qualities and ambition to move up in our profession. I wish George the best of luck in the future as an offensive coordinator at a major university.”
