A-State Game Against Missouri to be Televised

This Saturday’s (Sept. 28) Arkansas State University football game at Missouri will be televised by Comcast Sports South (CSS) and Cox Sports Television (CST).
JONESBORO, AR – This Saturday’s (Sept. 28) Arkansas State University football game at Missouri will be televised by Comcast Sports South (CSS) and Cox Sports Television (CST).

The game will also be available to viewers through ESPN GamePlan, ESPN3.com and the Watch ESPN app.  Within the Jonesboro market, A-State fans can watch the contest on Suddenlink channel 119 and/or on HD (high definition) channel 725.

Opening kickoff for the Arkansas State-Missouri matchup is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (CT) from Mizzou’s Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field in Columbia, Mo.  This Saturday’s contest represents the third all-time meeting between the two schools with the Tigers holding a 2-0 series edge.

A number of statewide affiliates in Missouri will air this Saturday’s non-conference outing – Cape Girardeau (KBSI), Columbia (KMIZ), Joplin (KSN16), Kansas City (KSMO), Springfield (KOZL), St. Joseph (KNPN), and St. Louis (KPLR).

CSS, which is a member of the Comcast Sports Group, is a 24-hour sports channel carrying a full slate of college sports programming and can only be found on cable. With over 40 live football games including the SEC, Sun Belt, Conference USA, and Gulf South Conferences, the channel offers a comprehensive sports lineup throughout the year. The channel also offers more than 140 men's and women's live college basketball games and over 60 live baseball games, as well as a comprehensive mix of sports news and in-depth sports analysis geared toward fans in the southeast.

The Cox Sports Television (CST) network, launched in October 2002 and based in New Orleans, La., has grown over 400 percent to nearly two million viewers in five years since its launch.  CST is one of the fastest growing regional sports networks in the South.  CST is not only currently carried on cable systems in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Virginia, but also available to Dish Network subscribers.

Arkansas State, coached by Bryan Harsin, has presently compiled a 2-2 overall record and is 1-0 in the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) to date this season.  The Red Wolves are the defending two-time (2011-12) SBC Champions.  The Missouri Tigers, who are members of the SEC, sport a current 3-0 overall mark this season.
