Englewood, CO (Sports Network) - Denver Broncos center Dan Koppen was carted off the practice field on Sunday with an apparent leg injury, which has been downgraded to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

According to KMGH-TV in Denver, Koppen was able to put pressure on the injured leg, which was promising for a prognosis. Eagles wideout Jeremy Maclin wasn't so lucky when he left practice on Saturday unable to put weight on his injured right leg, which was eventually diagnosed as being a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

However, the Denver Post later reported that an MRI exam showed the ACL tear, which is a season-ending issue following the required surgery.

This latest piece of unfortunate news came on the heels backup center C.J. Davis also suffering an apparent leg injury during Saturday's session and was sidelined on Sunday.

The 33-year-old Koppen started 12 regular-season games and one playoff contest for the Broncos last year.

Koppen took over for J.D. Walton last season after he fractured his ankle against the Oakland Raiders in Week 4. Walton underwent further surgery on his ankle and is still expected to miss a significant portion of the upcoming season.
