Canton, OH (Sports Network) - The Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins will open the NFL's 2013 preseason slate in the Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 4 in Canton, Ohio.

The Cowboys will make their fifth trip to Canton and first since 2010, a 16-7 win over Cincinnati. Dallas is 1-3 in the Hall of Fame Game.

Miami is 0-3 in Canton, including a loss to the Bears in its last trip in 2005.

The game will be played a day after the newest Hall of Fame class is enshrined. Three of the seven members of the 2013 Hall class have ties to the participating teams.

Guard Larry Allen starred for the Cowboys from 1994-2005, while Bill Parcells finished his coaching career with Dallas from 2003-06 and spent 2007-10 in charge of the Dolphins' football operations. Wide receiver Cris Carter ended his career with Miami in 2002.

Allen, Parcells and Carter will be inducted into the Hall of Fame along with Jonathan Ogden, Warren Sapp, Curley Culp and Dave Robinson.
