Giants agree to one-year deal with Arias

San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - The San Francisco Giants and infielder Joaquin Arias avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year deal worth $925,000.

Arias, 28, who began last season as a non-roster invitee to Spring Training, hit.270 with five home runs and 34 RBI in 110 games. He also hit .375 (3- for-8) in 12 postseason games.

In 225 career games with the Rangers (2006, 2008-10), Mets (2010), and Giants (2012), Arias has complied a lifetime .273 batting average with five home runs and 57 RBI.
