New York, NY (Sports Network) - Gonzaga earned a top seed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history on Sunday and on Monday finished as the No. 1 team in the final Associated Press poll of the season.

The Bulldogs earned 45 first-place votes -- nine fewer than last week -- and a total of 1,604 points from a nationwide media panel. Gonzaga topped the final three polls of the campaign.

Louisville moved up two places to second. The Cardinals claimed the Big East Tournament title on Saturday with a ferocious comeback against Syracuse and received the other 20 first-place votes.

Kansas, after its Big 12 tourney crown, vaulted four places to third and is followed by Indiana, Miami-Florida, Duke, Ohio State, Georgetown, Michigan State, Michigan and New Mexico. Michigan and New Mexico tied for the 10th spot.

Miami-Florida, which rose four places from ninth, captured the ACC Tournament title after also winning the regular-season crown, while Ohio State moved up three spots from 10th after winning the Big Ten tourney. Duke, a quarterfinal loser in the ACC Tournament, dropped four places from second.

Kansas State is 12th and followed by Saint Louis, Florida, Marquette, Syracuse, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, Memphis and Pittsburgh. The last five teams ranked are Arizona, Creighton, Notre Dame, UCLA and Oregon.

VCU, which lost the Atlantic-10 Tournament title game to Saint Louis, dropped out from 25th and was replaced by Oregon, which won the Pac-12 tourney over UCLA.
