Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Heat reached the roster limit of 15 for the start of the 2012-13 season by waiving guard Garrett Temple on Saturday.

Temple, who appeared in 51 NBA games with five different teams between 2009-11, was signed in September and averaged 4.5 points with 2.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in six preseason games.

After splitting the 2009-10 season between the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings, Temple returned to the Spurs in the following season after starting the season with the Milwaukee Bucks, but ended his 2010-11 campaign playing for the Charlotte Bobcats.

For his career, Temple has averaged 3.8 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists.
