New York, NY (Sports Network) - A back injury will keep Toronto Raptors forward Rudy Gay from playing with the team in New York on Saturday.

Gay injured his back after just 12 minutes of play in Toronto's loss to the Knicks on Friday and wasn't able to travel with the team to New York to complete the home-and-home set.

In 21 games since the Raptors acquired Gay from the Memphis Grizzlies, the seven-year veteran has averaged 17.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
