Blazing Hot Weekend, Sunday PM Storms

Very ho temperatures continue into the weekend. Weak front brings higher rain chances Sunday PM
A very hot weekend is shaping up with Southwest winds ahead of an approaching cold front. A mix of clouds and sun is expected for Saturday with high temperatures between 100 and 105 with heat index values as high as 110. Only a stray shower or thunderstorm is possible mainly for the afternoon. A weak cold front moves into Arkansas by Sunday. Southwest to West winds ahead of the front will bring very hot air from Oklahoma into Central Arkansas, allowing high temperatures to exceed 105 in some spots. Heat index values will approach 110. A few isolated storms will fire ahead of the front over Central Arkansas during the late afternoon and early evening hours. Any storm that develops may produce strong, gusty winds as well as hail. Only slightly cooler temperatures will move in behind the front for early next week with highs in the mid to upper 90s.
