A weak cold front will approach the area late today with a few spotty showers, with the highest rain chances across Northern Arkansas. The front will bring a reinforcing shot of cool air, keeping temperatures a little below normal for the middle of the week. Expect mostly cloudy skies Tuesday with highs in the lower 50s. A few showers will move in during the early evening hours, however, rainfall will be quite light and showers will be rather scattered. Most spots will receive only a couple of hundredths of an inch of rainfall, or in other words, barely enough to get the ground wet. Showers will end before midnight with lows in the mid 30s. As the colder air comes in behind the front, a few flurries may be possible for the higher elevations of Northwest and Northern Arkansas, although little in the way of any accumulation is likely. No snow is expected for Central Arkansas. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy and cool with highs in the upper 40s to near 50. Sunshine returns for Thursday, but staying a bit on the cool side with highs around 50.
