Storms Tonight Then Cooler

A cold front to brings storms tonight followed by a big cool down.
A cold front to brings storms tonight followed by a big cool down.   A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for parts of Northwest Arkansas and North Central Arkansas with hail and wind the main threats.  Mainly sunny skies across the area this evening, however, a few storms are firing up along a cold front moving into Northwest Arkansas. These storms have produced some strong wind gusts and hail. Temperatures are warm ahead of the front with mainly 70s and 80s  across the State. Storms will move into North Central Arkansas later tonight, and weaken as they push toward Central Arkansas after Midnight.  A couple of storms may be strong Wednesday evening, mainly Northwest where the SPC indicates a Slight risk for severe storms. Lingering rain and turning much cooler Thursday.  Mainly cloudy and cool Friday as a weak disturbance moves through. 


Tonight: Partly cloudy with a shower or thunderstorm late. lows in the low 50s.
Thursday: Rain in the morning, otherwise cloudy and much cooler with temperatures in the 50s.
Friday: Mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 50s.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 50s.
Sunday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low 70s.
Monday: Partly sunny with highs in the mid 70s.
