High pressure builds in with clearing skies and near seasonable temperatures.  The first day of Astronomical Winter is Sunday, when the sun reaches its lowest angle in the Northern hemisphere. Clouds and a few showers over the area today. most rain is staying South and East of Central Arkansas tonight, but staying cloudy overnight. The clouds keeping temperatures very cool with highs today only in the low to mid 40s. Temperatures across the State range from the upper 30s North to mid 40s South. Staying cloudy with a few spotty evening showers possible. Cloudy Saturday morning, but then some clearing by the afternoon and a bit milder. Partly sunny Sunday with seasonably cool high temperatures near 50. Mild and a little breezy Monday with highs well into the 50s. A cold front moves through Monday night with a few spotty showers, then breezy and cool for the middle of the week. 

Tonight: Cloudy with some patchy drizzle possible.  Lows in the mid 30s. 
Saturday: Morning clouds and fog, then partly sunny with highs near 50.
Sunday: Mostly sunny with highs near 50.
Monday: Partly sunny with a late day shower possible. highs in the upper 50s. 
Tuesday: Showers in the morning, then breezy. Highs in the upper 40s.
Wednesday: Partly sunny and breezy with highs near 50. 
Christmas Day: Partly cloudy with highs in the mid 50s. 
Friday: Partly sunny, breezy and mild with highs near 60.
