On this Tuesday we'll see clouds mixing in with sunshine. As for temperatures, they will stay in the mid 60s during the morning commute and rise up to the mid upper 70s later today. Of course, spotty thunderstorms are also apart of the forecast. We're already seeing a few storms flaring up in Southwest Arkansas this morning. In time, these storms will likely move into parts of South-Central Arkansas late this morning and around the noon hour. Less coverage of rain is expected in the afternoon period.
Late today, around the time you're driving back from work, a line of thunderstorms will to form in Oklahoma and move into the western parts of Arkansas. Some of these storms may be strong bringing hail and gusty winds to the area. Eventually these storms will weaken and race toward the metro late this evening.
Lingering showers and storms will cover the Natural State into the wee hours of the night as a cold front slowly works through the region. This wet scene may last all the way into Wednesday's morning commute so have those umbrellas ready to go. We'll begin to dry out across the state Wednesday afternoon with temperatures bouncing back up near 80 degrees.
