An slow moving area of low pressure will move to our South today through early Thursday bringing wet weather to the area. Although some thunder is possible, severe weather is not expected as the warm air stays mainly South of the Arkansas border. Showers will continue throughout the day with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s. More rain will continue overnight, locally heavy at times. The heaviest rains will likely be over Western and Northwestern portions of the State. Showers will taper off Thursday and come to an end by late Thursday afternoon. Rainfall totals will range from half an inch to an inch South and East of Little Rock, with amounts of 1 to 2 inches from Little Rock and points North and West. A few spots may receive up to 3 inches. Due to the prolonged nature of the rainfall, significant flooding problems are not expected, although ponding is possible on some streets and small ditches may overflow in a couple of spots.
