Record Heat Yet Relief is in Sight

Record heat looks to sweep through Central Arkansas today with temperatures topping out above 100°. Yet, there is some relief in sight.

Expect more record heat for today with thermometers rising up well above 100° in many spots.  Along with the heat, we'll see plenty of that blazing sunshine overhead and feel a light wind from the south.  Like the past few days, there is a slim chance at a pop up shower late this afternoon across Southeast Arkansas.

Tomorrow, appears to be almost identical expect for more rain coverage possible in Southern Arkansas.  Temperatures still look on track to reach the century mark.

Our weather pattern will change by early next week as the strong ridge of high pressure that has been dominating the region begins to shift West. This will mean cooler temperatures and higher rain chances by Monday and beyond.
