After a hot weekend, a cold front slides through the state dropping temperatures below normal for the week ahead.
After a hot weekend, a cold front slides through the state dropping temperatures for the week ahead. Skies will be clearing through the overnight hours with temperatures dropping into the lower 70s. Monday will be cooler and drier with highs around 90 and a mostly sunny sky. Tuesday will be pleasant and slightly cooler with sunshine and highs in the middle 80s. Upper level trough stay present over the eastern US, keeping cooler temperatures in the forecast for the rest of the week. With northwesterly flow aloft, this will allow a series of disturbance to enter the region for for Wednesday through Friday bringing rain chances back into the forecast. It looks like the best chance at rain will be Thursday. This will keep temperatures cooler as well. Trough will begin to lift slightly for the weekend and temperatures will gradually begin to rise back into the upper 80s.


Monday: Mostly sunny and not as hot. Highs near 90.
Monday Night: Mostly clear and mild. Lows in the middle 60s.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs in the middle 80s. 
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance for a shower or storms. Highs in the middle 80s. 
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with showers and t-storms possible. Highs around 80. 
Friday: Partly sunny with a slight chance for a shower. Highs in the mid to upper 80s. 
Saturday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance for a shower. Highs in the upper 80s.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s.
