1 Injured in 9th Street Shooting

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A man was injured in a Tuesday night shooting, according police. 

Little Rock Police (LRPD) responded to the 700 block of E. 9th Street around 10:40 p.m. in regards to a shooting. 

According to the incident report, police pulled over the victim's vehicle as it drove past the scene. 

Officers found shooting victim, Ronnelle Collins, 19, of Little Rock, inside the 2017 Dodge Challenger with a gunshot wound in the right arm.  

Collins told police he had left the scene to get his girlfriend. He said that two males had attempted to rob
him. When he drove past them they started shooting at his car and that was when he was hit. Collins said that the suspects then drove away. 

Officers found shell casings and two baggies of green leafy substance on the ground.

LRPD says Collins and his girlfriend were taken in for questioning. 

The girlfriend told police that the Collins had went to the location to sell two grams of marijuana and the 
two males attempted to rob Collins of his money and marijuana when he arrived to the meeting place. 

According to police, paperwork found inside the vehicle that showed that the white Dodge Challenger was stolen from Texas.
