Nowadays, you can get a pair of shoes designed for practically any sport. No matter if you play basketball, tennis or golf, run, walk or cycle for exercise, you can find shoes intended specifically for that activity. Fitness experts and foot specialists seem to agree that you should choose a shoe that's designed for whatever activity you participate in. If you shoot hoops, get basketball shoes. Don't try to get double duty out of your jogging shoes. Flexible soles are the thing to look for in running shoes, with a cushioned insole and padded ankle for support. Walking shoes should also have adequate cushioning, along with a good arch support and plenty of room for your toes. Walking shoes tend to have a thinner midsole than running shoes. And if you bowl, invest in a good pair of bowling shoes instead of renting whatever they have at the lanes. For more information about shoes for various sports, contact a foot specialist in your area.
