When evaluating health insurance coverage, there are some basic questions you should ask the insurance agent. These include : Does your insurance provide coverage only for a specified amount per day or does it cover usual, customary costs? Does the plan cover pregnancy? If so, does it cover pregnancy for the unmarried or only for the married employees and their spouse. Does it cover the newborn from birth? Does it cover hospital costs for as long as the insured needs treatment? Does it exclude coverage for specified illnesses or accidents? How long does it cover the insured's children? Does it pay for outpatient treatment and emergency treatments? And, is there a time limit on submitting claims? There are many further concerns that should be addressed when deciding upon health insurance coverage. Check with your insurance agent or company office for more information.
