Beyond their practical function, light fixtures also add interest and beauty. With accent lighting, you can emphasize the room's best features, while other areas remain shadowed. And decorative lighting is just what the name implies: its only purpose is to look good. Neon fixtures and low-wattage chandeliers are one example. Finally, consider using dimmer switches on key lights: this allows you to adjust the lighting and mood to fit different situations.
