Edible craft projects can be a big hit with kids. Would your children like to snack on ants on a log? You'll need pretzels or celery sticks, peanut butter, and raisins. First, let them use a plastic butter knife to coat the top of the celery stalk or pretzel with peanut butter. Then, let them add 'ants'--also known as raisins--to the top of their treat. While they eat this snack, ask them if the ants tickle their tummies! Here's an idea that's especially good for toddlers: finger painting can be dangerous if your tot still explores new things by putting them in his or her mouth. Let them finger paint with pudding. You can use the instant kind you prepare yourself, or purchase a multi-pack of the pre-made individual servings. Let your toddlers use wax paper for their creations, and you can display these briefly, or allow them to eat their masterpieces.
