This all new grill glove is not your typical oven mitt. The red cover is specifically designed to handle temperatures up to 600 degrees, and it claims to be dishwasher friendly.
Fox16's Chad Garneau went to Cheeburger, Cheeburger to test the mitt out with the cook, Justin – who seemed a little hesitant to put his hands on a 360 degree grill.
Justin puts his hands in the glove, an grabs some juicy hamburger meat.
With a quick flip of his wrist, he puts the meat on the grill and smashes it in with his special glove.
After the savory hamburger cooks for several minutes, it's time for the big test – but Justin runs into a problem.
He actually needs two grill gloves to pick the meat up and flip it.
Justin talks Chad into trying out the glove, and the pair places their hands on the grill.
Something to keep in mind when you have the Grill Glove on, even when you take it off the heat – with the grease still on it, it's still very warm. It takes some time to cool off.
The gloves were also found to survive several runs in the dishwasher.
So is it a deal or a dud?
"I would say it's a deal, but from my kind of a job, and the kind of grill I'm using, I wouldn't recommend it," Justin said. "For the average home consumer and a different type of grill, I'd say it was a deal for them."
If you think the grill glove is ideal for your cooking experience, you can fin d it online for $15 before shipping.
