FDA researchers say many dietary supplements claim they will help heal a concussion faster.
They also warn many products will also claim to prevent or lessen the severity of these brain injuries.
Doctors say companies marketing these types of dietary supplements may be exploiting the rising concerns over traumatic brain injuries.
Dr. Andrew Russman with the Cleveland Clinic says, "We don't have any evidence that there is any medication, vitamin, or herb that helps people to recover after head trauma."
Dr. Russman says there are therapies designed to help manage concussion symptoms such as headache or dizziness.
