Two More Students Accuse Osceola Teacher of Sexual Assault
Nicole Winberry, 28, of Paragould
OSCEOLA, AR (News release) - A morning court appearance for a local high school teacher accused of sexual assault of a student has revealed additional alleged victims.
When Nichole Winberry, 28, of Paragould, appeared in court, it was learned that a total of three male students aged 17 (2) and 18, claim she touched them inappropriately.
Winberry, who is charged with 4 counts of 1st degree sexual assault, was given a bond amount of $15,000.
On Thursday, Scott Ellington, Prosecuting Attorney for the Second Judicial District of Arkansas, announced Winberry's arrest, saying that warrants were issued following an investigation by the Osceola Police Department and the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division.
The investigation began when the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline received a report that Winberry had engaged in sexual contact with at least one Osceola high school student. Winberry surrendered to State Police investigators Thursday in Paragould.
