CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — Authorities in Faulkner County are investigating an early morning shooting that left one person dead and another injured.

Faulkner County Sheriff's Capt. Matt Rice says authorities responded to the shooting at about 1:30 a.m. Friday at a home off Arkansas 286.

Rice tells the Log Cabin Democrat that authorities discovered 39-year-old Charles Hooten dead of a gunshot wound and 47-year-old Debbie Ford wounded.

Rice says Ford was taken to a Little Rock hospital where she is in stable condition.

Authorities would not comment on a possible motive but said a suspect found at the home is currently in custody. That person's name has not been released.
