1 dead in house fire near Sheridan

CALVERT TOWNSHIP, AR – Firefighters with the Sheridan Fire Department and a volunteer fire department responded to the scene of a fatal house fire in Grant County Friday night.

Firefighters say one person died from the fire. Firefighters were able to pull the victim out of the home, but the person died a short time later. The identity of the victim has not been released.

The fire started around 9pm. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.

The location of the home is near the intersection of Highway 167 and Grant County Road 13.
