LITTLE ROCK, AR – Quick moving storms moving through central Arkansas have knocked out power for thousands of customers.

In Pulaski County, more than 6,000 people lost power. Nearly half of those were along Lawson Road in the southwest of the county. Entergy’s website says the outages should be fixed by midnight.

In Garland County, 2,700 customers were without power in the Rockwell area. Entergy's website says about 1,110 are still without, and it is expected to return around 10pm.

Storm reports estimate gusts reached between 60 and 65mph. There were numerous reports of trees down across roads and powerlines.
