CONWAY, AR – Two men are in jail awaiting charges after allegedly robbing a female student on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway Monday morning.

University Police say the woman was held up at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Torreyson Apartments. Information from the victim and a witness led police to an off-campus home on the 400 block of South Ash.

Police say 5 people were taken into custody at the house. Police say when they arrived the first suspect came out of the home. Two more suspects came out of the house when the SWAT team arrived. The rest were taken into custody when police raided the house.

According to police, a search of the home yielded a handgun that was similar to the one used in the robbery and all of the victim’s property that was stolen in the robbery.

None of the 5 suspects are students. Two men, Howard Famer, 20 of Little Rock, and Edwin Turner, 20 of Conway, were taken to the Faulkner County Jail. The others were released pending further investigation.

University Police say the robbery happened around 9:30am. An alert about the robbery and the suspect’s description was sent out by UCA to the campus community at 10:01am, and another one at 11:41am to say the suspects were in custody.

These little ghetto mankeys are the product of crack ho's that hatch out babies to increase their Osama check and then let the streets raise them while they sit on the couch hittin the pipe, they are taught from birth to live off the government and to steal from others

He was probably supporting his mother by robbing people. While it is a shame that people are getting robbed everyday, its more of a shame that people are not doing anything to defend themselves. Get a CWP, get a weapon, get trained in how to use it and get trained in how to defend yourself. It is time we the people stop taking this crap from those that are to lazy and sorry to work an honest days work.

You should have seen the interview of the baby boys mother on channel 7! She said he would have never done anything like that!

This is just stupid already. You just can't go ANYWHERE without taking the risk of being robbed. Lowes, Grocery Store, Gas Stations, Resturants, Campus, Parking Lots, Parks and Churches. It is so important for all women to learn self defense and everyone needs to be ready and armed for these criminals

Don't you just love the recent stories on how safe the campuses are around here! I don't use a holster; it's tucked into my belt right behind my wallet. Hope I never have to use it though; but don't ask for my wallet!

Tis the season. How awful. A couple was robbed at gun point in WLR - Outback Steakhouse parking lot Sunday evening. I think it's time to get a holster.
