Authorities launched a manhunt early Tuesday for three inmates who escaped from a jail in a Missouri County that borders Arkansas.

Rodney Joe Green, Matthew Brandon Cook and Kade Reaves Stringfellow escaped from the Butler County Jail, according to KAIT-TV.  Butler County is just north of Jonesboro.

According to KAIT-TV, Cook and Stringfellow were behind bars on murder charges. Green was being held of assault charges stemming from an incident earlier this year.

Authorities consider the trio armed and dangerous.

According to KAIT-TV, the inmates escaped after damaging the internal ceiling structure of the jail.

If you have any information, you are urged to call the Butler County Sheriff's Office at 573-785-8444.
