Benton Co. Sheriff Drains Private Pond in Search of Missing Girl

April Andrews went missing in 2006 as she was walking to church
ROGERS, AR -- A private pond in Rogers has been drained in search of a Pea Ridge teenager who was reported missing in November 2006.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) says they received an anonymous letter from a "concerned citizen" that the area may contain evidence or the body of April Andrews, who went missing in 2006 as she was walking to church.

Cadaver dogs have been called out to the pond.

Investigators started draining it on Monday, but say the pond is not in the "best condition," so while they will bring some equipment to dredge, they will also have to search with their hands.
